Depart Sydney or Melbourne bound for Paris for your enchanting holiday. Upon arrival at Paris Airport, you’ll be met and greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel for a restful, leisurely day.

After breakfast, depart Paris for a scenic journey through the rolling countryside of the Champagne region, famous worldwide for its sparkling white wine. In Reims, see the city’s historic cathedral, a national heritage site where French kings were crowned from the 11th century onwards. Continue on to Luxembourg, the world’s only remaining Grand Duchy. After arriving in refined Luxembourg City, enjoy a walking introduction to highlights including the Place de la Constitution and Pont Adolphe, with time afterwards to explore at your own pace.

Today you’ll cross into Germany. The first stop is Trier, Germany’s oldest city and the birthplace of Karl Marx. View the house where he was born (now the Karl Marx Haus museum) before visiting Trier’s impressive cathedral, which houses the Holy Robe—believed to be Christ’s tunic. Known as “The Second Rome”, Trier preserves remarkable Roman remains, including the Porta Nigra, the best-preserved Roman city gate north of the Alps.
Afterwards, continue to Koblenz, where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet. You may choose to enjoy lunch by the river and optionally join a scenic Rhine boat cruise for memorable views. Back on land, drive through the wine town of Rüdesheim (road conditions permitting) before arriving in Frankfurt am Main. There, discover the Römerberg, a charming plaza featuring a distinctive medieval town hall.

After breakfast, board your luxury coach for a scenic ride through classic German countryside to the Czech Republic. Arrive in Prague in the evening, ready to explore this enchanting capital and its fairy-tale architecture the following morning.

After breakfast, begin your Prague adventure with a spectacular walk along the Royal Route, following the traditional coronation path of Bohemian kings and queens. Start atop Castle Hill in the Hradčany district, famed for panoramic views over the red-roofed city, then tour Prague Castle. The castle has been the seat of Bohemian royalty since the 9th century and today houses the office of the president.
Continue your exploration around the gothic St Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St George’s Basilica, and Golden Lane, lined with traditional houses. Later, stroll across the iconic Charles Bridge over the Vltava River into the Old Town Square, where you can see the City Hall and the renowned Astronomical Clock. After lunch in the square, transfer to your hotel in or near Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava.

This morning you’ll arrive in Hungary, the fourth country of your tour. Budapest, known as the Pearl of the Danube, is really two cities: Buda on the west bank, Pest on the east, each with its own character. A popular way to take in the city is on a Danube River cruise. After a morning of sightseeing, enjoy lunch at Buda Palace, then visit the Budapest History Museum or the Hungarian National Gallery, or do some shopping. Next, explore both sides of the city: on the Buda side, see Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, and Gellért Hill with its sweeping views; in Pest, discover Hers’ Square and the imposing riverside Parliament Building. In the evening, you can opt for a traditional Hungarian dinner featuring dishes like goulash, goose liver, and local wines, along with folkdance and music.

Today’s short journey takes you to Vienna, Austria’s grand capital. Your visit begins at Schönbrunn Palace, the Rococo summer residence of the Habsburg dynasty. After lunch, enjoy a driving tour past Vienna’s architectural highlights, including City Hall, the Austrian Parliament, Hofburg Palace, and Hers’ Square.
In the afternoon, there’s time for shopping and a visit to the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna Opera House). You may also wish to dine in the city centre, visit St Stephen’s Cathedral, or stroll through Stadtpark, famous for its sculptures such as the golden statue of Johann Strauss II. Later, consider the option of attending a Viennese waltz concert—an unforgettable way to experience the music of Mozart and Strauss where it was composed.

Depart Vienna and travel to Mondsee, a picturesque Austrian town on Lake Mondsee. Visit the medieval Mondsee Abbey, whose cloister church served as the wedding location in The Sound of Music. After lunch, cross the German border into Munich. On arrival, see Marienplatz, the central square since 1158, and the New Town Hall, home to the city council and mayor’s offices. Alternatively, relax with a German beer in a traditional beer garden before heading to your hotel.

Today, you’ll leave the big cities behind. Before heading to the Swiss Alps, make a photo stop in one of Europe’s smallest countries—Liechtenstein. In the picturesque capital, Vaduz, you can browse little boutiques and visit the famous Huber shop for fine jewellery and watches. Next, continue to Engelberg, a stunning Swiss resort. From here, you have the option to board a cable car to the summit of the snow-covered Mount Titlis. To reach the top, you’ll take three different gondolas, ending with the world’s first revolving gondola—the Titlis Rotair—which offers spectacular views of valleys, glaciers, lakes, and surrounding peaks. At the summit, pause on the sun terrace to take in the breathtaking panorama. You can also walk across Europe’s highest suspension bridge for more unforgettable views.
Afterwards, travel to Lucerne, a city of bridges and towers in what many consider the “true” Switzerland—mountains, lakes, cowbells, and alpine meadows full of edelweiss. Stroll the charming streets, see the famous Lion Monument (once described by Mark Twain as “the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world”), and shop for Swiss watches and chocolates before heading to your overnight stop in Zurich.

Begin the day exploring Zurich, a city renowned as a global financial hub. Make a picture stop at Lake Zurich, then continue to Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall. Stop by beautiful Lake Titisee, where you can relax at a lakeside café and try the region’s famous Black Forest cherry gateau. This is the ideal place to pick up a traditional cuckoo clock and see a demonstration of how these intricate timepieces are made. Later, return to Frankfurt for your overnight stay.

The morning begins with a leisurely drive northwest from Frankfurt to Bonn, the former capital of West Germany before reunification. While the national government is now in Berlin, Bonn retains a rich history well worth exploring.
Enjoy an orientation stroll past highlights such as the Rococo-fronted Town Hall and the Beethoven House museum, dedicated to the famed composer. Continue to Cologne, where you’ll visit the city’s magnificent Gothic Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The afternoon is free for you to explore more of Cologne, shop for local goods, or simply relax with a refreshing German beer. After lunch, drive on into the Netherlands.

Today you’ll travel through the Dutch countryside to experience some of the Netherlands’ most iconic traditions: clogs, cheese, and windmills. Visit the model village of Zaanse Schans to see these crafts up close. Next, return to Amsterdam. Visit a renowned diamond factory where you’ll learn about the unique cutting techniques practiced since the 16th century. You can then choose to join an optional one-hour pre-dinner canal cruise—a perfect way to discover the city from the water. After disembarking, walk to Dam Square, home to the Royal Palace and the site of the King’s Birthday celebrations. Here, you’ll have time for photos, shopping, and sightseeing before rounding off the day with dinner.

This morning, depart Amsterdam and travel south into Brussels, Belgium’s capital and the political heart of the European Union. En route, stop to view the striking Atomium monument—a cell-shaped structure built for the 1958 World’s Fair.
On arrival in Brussels, enjoy an orientation tour that includes the exquisite Grand Place and the famous Manneken Pis statue. You’ll have free time to explore and sample mouth-watering Belgian treats. Later, continue across the French border, arriving in the bright lights of Paris.

Over the next two days, Paris is yours to explore. Begin your adventures with a guided drive along the famous Champs-Élysées to Place de la Concorde, the square central to the French Revolution. You’ll also see the Arc de Triomphe, honouring those who fell in the Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. Continue to L’Hôtel National des Invalides, where Napoleon’s tomb rests, then stop at Paris’s most iconic landmark—the Eiffel Tower. Later, travel out to the grand Palace of Versailles, the royal residence until the Revolution of 1789 and today one of France’s most popular attractions.
Note: Due to restricted daily entry at Versailles, guests who wish to visit should pre-book tickets online at Paris is your oyster over the next two days as you enjoy guided tours around one of the world's most celebrated cities. Your Parisian adventures get off to a spectacular start with a drive along the famous Champs Élysées to the Place de la Concorde, which played such a key part in the French Revolution. You'll also get to see the iconic Arc de Triomphe here too, the imposing monument that sits near the western end of the avenue and commemorates the fallen of the revolution and Napoleonic wars. You'll take in another significant historical building next as you head to L'Hôtel National des Invalides, where Napoleon's tomb is located, followed by a stop at the most legendary of all Paris's icons: the Eiffel Tower. Finally, you'll travel on the coach out through the Parisian suburbs to the splendid Palace of Versailles, the vast regal château that was the residence of the royal family until the start of the revolution in 1789. This morning, you can choose to take a sightseeing boat cruise on the Seine River (own expense), a wonderful way to enjoy views of Parisian landmarks such as Notre-Dame Cathedral and Pont Alexandre III. After lunch, visit the Louvre, one of the world’s greatest art museums. Inside, you’ll see masterpieces including the Venus de Milo, Winged Victory of Samothrace, and da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. You may wish to join a guided gallery tour to help you navigate the extensive collection. In the evening, you have the option to enjoy a traditional French four-course dinner and show, or spend time shopping at the famous Galeries Lafayette department store.

Depart Lucerne and travel south through spectacular Swiss scenery into northern Italy. Your first stop is Milan, the world’s fashion capital. An orientation tour will introduce you to the city’s landmarks, including the vast Gothic Duomo Cathedral. Visit the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the world’s oldest shopping mall, where you can browse boutique shops and enjoy lunch in a refined café.
Later, continue on to Venice, another timeless Italian city.

Spend the morning exploring Venice with a knowledgeable local guide. Begin with a waterbus ride across the lagoon to San Marco Island, offering unforgettable views of the city’s spires and canals.
On arrival, tour Venice’s most famous landmarks, starting with Piazza San Marco and the magnificent Basilica di San Marco, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. You’ll also see the legendary Bridge of Sighs, which connects the old prison to the interrogation rooms of the Doge’s Palace. Next, watch a demonstration by Murano glassblowers, whose exquisite creations make wonderful souvenirs. Of course, no visit to Venice is complete without an optional gondola ride through the maze of canals—a truly memorable experience.
In the afternoon, travel onwards to Rome.

Your day begins in the world’s smallest country, Vatican City, at the heart of Rome. Here, you’ll marvel at St Peter’s Basilica, home to Pope Francis and one of Christianity’s most important sites. Inside, explore an extraordinary collection of paintings, frescs, and designs by history’s greatest artists. You can also choose to take the optional Sistine Chapel tour to see Michelangelo’s iconic ceiling. Next, visit Rome’s renowned landmarks: the Colosseum, built in AD 72, where you can imagine gladiators battling in the arena, and the Arch of Constantine, dating from the 4th century AD. To complete your Roman experience, stop at the Victor Emmanuel II National Monument, built to honour the king who unified Italy. In the afternoon, depart for Florence.

Start your day with a panoramic view over Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo, offering sweeping vistas of the red rooftops, Arno River, and surrounding hills. See a demonstration of traditional leather crafting in a local workshop and browse or purchase high-quality leather goods. You’ll pass by the Uffizi Gallery, home to one of Italy’s most important art collections. Enjoy time to shop or relax in a café before heading to Pisa. Here, you can explore the Square of Miracles, with the famous Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, and the Baptistery—perfect for photos. Later, continue towards a city near Genoa for your overnight stay. Note: The itinerary ds not include a visit to Genoa itself.

Today, enjoy a spectacular drive along the Mediterranean coast as you bid farewell to Italy. Arrive in Monaco by the afternoon, where a walking tour takes you to the Prince’s Palace. Enjoy free time to soak up the refined atmosphere. You’ll also see the 1920s Courthouse, the Cliffside Oceanographic Museum, and the Cathedral where Grace Kelly is buried. Next, stop in a town renowned for perfume production and visit a perfume factory for a guided tour. Continue to Nice, where you’ll pause for lunch and experience the region’s warm hospitality. Your journey proceeds to Cannes, famous for its annual film festival—take the chance to photograph the Palais des Festivals.
