Spend the day cruising one of the world's most spectacular waterways. Located along the coast of British Columbia, the Inside Passage is the longest sheltered inland waterway in the world and stretches through stunning landscapes, from the Misty Fjords National Monument to the famed Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve. Sailing the Inside Passage offers opportunities to spot some of Alaska’s most iconic wildlife. Watch the water for orcas and humpback whales.
Join this exclusive opportunity to experience the very best of the Tracy Arm Wilderness Area, including exciting, close-up views of the majestic Twin Sawyer Glaciers.
Your adventure begins as you board a luxurious, high-speed catamaran, transferring directly from your cruise ship. Relax in the warm, spacious cabin, surrounded by large windows, as your experienced captain guides you past curious seals resting on floating icebergs. As you cruise through Tracy Arm, the on-board naturalist will provide a wealth of information about the area, which naturalist John Muir called "one of the most dramatically stunning fjords of Southeast Alaska." While exploring the length of this ice-carved fjord, you’ll cruise beneath cliffs that rise 4,000 feet above the jade-colored sea, and you can feel the mist on your face as the vessel maneuvers almost directly under a plunging waterfall. There will also be frequent stops to view and photograph wildlife, such as pigeon guillemots, bald eagles, harbor seals, mountain goats, and bears.
Cruise to Juneau, Alaska, and visit the most remote, most beautiful, and strangest state capital in the United States. Located at the foot of grand mountain peaks on Gastineau Channel, Alaska's capital city of Juneau has a massive Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefield at its back door. Visit the rustic shops in town-or get out and kayak, raft, hike, whale watch, flightsee, or fish. There's no end to the adventure because of the long daylight hours.
On your cruise to Glacier Bay, close your eyes and take in the sounds—the creaks and groans of “living” ice, the shrill cries of gulls and soaring eagles, the splash of a breaching humpback whale.
Frosted peaks towering over mossy forests, wide tidewater glaciers (there are seven in the park), and marine wildlife are given on Glacier Bay cruises, but every experience in this changing biosphere is unique. There are glaciers, fjords, inlets, rivers, streams, and wildlife galore on Glacier Bay cruises, so bring those binoculars.
Take an adventure and cruise to Ketchikan, Alaska. Ketchikan is named Alaska's "First City" because it’s the first major landfall for most cruisers as they enter the picturesque fjords of the Inside Passage, where the town clings to the banks of the Tongass Narrows, flanked by green forests nurtured by abundant rain.
Ketchikan is also one of the best spots along the Inside Passage to explore the rich cultural sights of Native Alaskan nations like the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian.
The Inside Passage stretches through stunning landscapes, from Misty Fjords National Monument to famed Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve. Sailing the Inside Passage offers opportunities to spot some of Alaska’s most iconic wildlife, with humpback whales and orca plying the bountiful waters alongside the ships, bald eagles soaring overhead and brown bears lumbering on the shoreline.
After breakfast, disembark the cruise and transfer to the Airport for your homebound flight
Cross the International Date Line and arrive in Australia on day 19.
